Preparing for Global Migration Sunday

There are more displaced people in the world than any other time since World War II. That’s why The United Methodist Church has set aside Sunday, Dec. 3, as Global Migration Sunday.

65 million displaced people

There are 65 million people displaced in the world at present. That’s more than at any other time since World War II.

The United Methodist Church has set aside Sunday, Dec. 3, as Global Migration Sunday. This day is to be a day of prayer. The church will also take a special offering to raise awareness and funds to aid migrants and refugees.

Global Migration Sunday website

Several agencies of the church have created a website to help you prepare to honor this day.

The website includes a variety of resources, including stories of global migration and the ways The United Methodist Church is responding to this global crisis.

The website also includes video, presentation, worship, preaching, and social media resources. You can download banners and a devotional book.

You can also sign up for a webinar to be held Nov. 8.
