La fe y los hechos: Seven Faith and Facts cards available in Spanish

Church and Society is pleased to announce Spanish-language versions of seven Faith and Facts cards. These cards will be available for download on our website and for purchase through our store.

Faith and Facts cards have been available as a resource for United Methodists from Church and Society for years. Focusing on a number of issues reflected in the Social Principles and the Book of Resolutions, each card highlights passages from the Bible, quotes from Church policy, relevant facts, and action items for United Methodists to engage in.

Church and Society currently maintains an array of 33 cards on issues under six categories: Peace With Justice, Civil and Human Rights, Health and Wholeness, Environmental Justice, Economic Justice, and Women and Children.

By far the most popular resource from the agency, the Faith and Facts cards are frequently used as bulletin inserts to orient congregations to new social justice issues or to spur action on an issue of interest.

The seven cards that have been translated into Spanish at this point in time include:

La Inmigración en los EEUU Faith | Immigration in the United States
Migración Global y Refugiados | Global Migration and Refugees
Justicia para los Trabajadores Agrícolas de los EEUU | Farmworker Justice in the United States
Justicia Alimenticia | Food Justice
Construir la Paz | Peacebuilding
Cuidado de Salud en los EEUU | Health Care in the United States
Violencia Doméstica | Domestic Violence

While Church and Society has previously translated Faith and Facts cards for various trainings, a concerted effort to translate them into more languages is being undertaken this quadrennium. United Methodists across the connection can expect Faith and Facts cards in languages such as French, Portuguese and Tagalog in the coming years.
