Join the Western Training: Learn the Core Practices of Community Organizing

The three-day training starts with relationships and builds toward collective action.

This training connects organizers, lay leaders, deacons, pastors, and community members to learn the core practices of organizing. We start with what's right in front of us. Neighborhoods. Relationships.
Stories. Then we build toward action.
$250 for members. $350 for non-members.
Cost includes training fees and three lunches. Scholarships available.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation, housing, and other meals. Group rate housing available at Courtyard Marriott Tacoma.

During this three-day Spanish-English training event you’ll learn:

  • Build public relationships through 1:1 conversations

  • Identify leaders and grow leadership capacity

  • Discern issues rooted in your community’s reality

  • Take action that leads to real change

We encourage pastors, church leaders, students, young adults, and anyone with a heart for ministry and mission to attend this event.

As a co-sponsor of the event, United Methodists are eligible to register at the discounted member rate $250.
