Internships

Church and Society’s internships are designed for people interested in educating, advocating and connecting in the intersection of faith and social justice.

Ethnic Young Adult Internship Program

The Ethnic Young Adult (EYA) Internship Program is for young justice seekers willing to unpack their faith and identity. The program provides a unique opportunity to participate in advocacy and public witness as participants put their faith into action.

Interns gain professional experience by serving with a Church and Society staff and in weekly programming designed to dig deeper into concepts of justice and spiritual practices and learning from advocates and faith leaders.

The EYA program is an eight-week program during the summer session of June and July.

Interns will be provided with dorm-style housing in Washington DC and will participate in cohort programming, connecting with members of the worldwide UMC connection.

Interns will receive a stipend of $1,700 during the duration of the program.
