Board of Directors Meets to Extend Terms, Award Grants

The board of directors met by Zoom on October 19 to approve over $170,000 in grants, approve a 2021 budget, and extend board terms.

Extension of terms of board, officers and General Secretary

The board of directors took action to extend terms of officers until the organization of a successor board. The delay in forming a new board is a consequence of postponing General Conference until at least 2021.

The board also approved an extension of the General Secretary’s term through the election of a new board.

Grants

As a tangible way to extend the justice ministry of Church and Society, the board of directors awarded over $175,000 in grants to more than 50 ministries across the Connection.

The total amount awarded for all Just and Resilient Commmunities grants is $100,000. We received over 200 applications.
