About These Books

Our UMC Social Principles remind us that we are called to form communities that respect honor and nurture diversity, culture, and international identities. We must also “learn from each other, showing mutual respect for our differences and similarities as we experience the diversity of perspectives and viewpoints.” (2016 Book of Discipline, Social Principles ¶161.A)

Our Sacred Worth Books hope to reflect the diversity of God’s creation by helping children to decrease bias, value all children as God’s creation, and to ensure that children see themselves represented in the books we read and stories we share.
